About Us
The Salzstadl Inn is a popular meeting point for visitors to the Ehrenberg Castle World and an ideal venue for special celebrations in a historic setting. The authentic atmosphere and architecture of the centuries-old Salzstadl at the foot of Ehrenberg Castle enhance its unique charm. A strong commitment to Tyrolean inn culture and certification as an "AMA Genuss-Region" establishment are quality hallmarks of its cuisine, which emphasizes fresh, regional ingredients. Additionally, the inn offers exciting highlights such as summer barbecue evenings, wine tastings with experts, murder mystery dinners with actors, and much more.

Creative new beginning under new management
The Burgenwelt Ehrenberg Association was looking for a new tenant for its gastronomy and has found one in Cathrin Brandts. In a multi-stage selection process, she impressed with her creative concept and has now taken over the management of Gasthof Salzstadl, including the adjoining hotel.
More than just a place to eat
Gasthof Salzstadl is not only a popular stop for visitors of Burgenwelt Ehrenberg with its many attractions, but also an ideal venue for special celebrations in a historic setting. The authentic atmosphere and architecture highlight the charm of the centuries-old Salzstadel at the foot of Ehrenberg Castle.
Preserving tradition, introducing new ideas
The commitment to the “Tiroler Wirtshauskultur” and certification as part of the “AMA Genuss-Region” will continue to be hallmarks of quality in a cuisine that focuses primarily on regional and fresh products. New and exciting highlights, such as summer barbecue evenings, wine tastings with experts, murder mystery dinners with actors, and much more will also be offered.
The Salzstadl team welcomes you
The Gasthof Salzstadl accommodates up to 180 guests. The large sun terrace offers additional seating for up to 150 guests while providing a magnificent view of the surrounding landscape. Table reservations for groups are requested.

Restaurant closed (opens at 12:00)
Wednesday to Monday and on public holidays: 12:00 to 21:00
Tuesday: Day of rest (except during school holidays)
Even the bravest knights occasionally take off their armor at the Salzstadl inn .
From November 1st to November 20th inclusive, we will be taking a short break to recharge and restore the Salzstadl to its full strength.
From November 21th, our gates will open again – ready for enjoyable hours, warm hospitality and chivalrous moments.
